Just started to use HQ Player to do Redbook to DSD128 conversion. We were previously using JRiver MC19 and were pretty seduced by the results. However HQPlayer is even better and we find the results to be glorious / stunning.
HQPlayer 3.22 | 87.27 MB
HQPlayer is an audio quality for Mac OS X. HQPlayer also offers several sampling algorithms and selectable high quality sampling and modeling algorithms, modeling and selectable modulation noise. All modern DAC employ oversampling delta-sigma modulation and though hardware implementations are more or less limited by resources.
Higher quality oversampling and delta-sigma modulation can be done using a large assembly processing power available in modern PCs. Many AVR also internally resampled 48, 96 or 192 kHz, with HQPlayer, these can be fed to the native speed. Want to buy 192/24 or DXD files for the future, but currently has only hardware compatible with 96/24? Or do you want to buy DSD128 files or DSD256 but currently only has DSD64 compatible hardware or PCM 192/24? The re-sampling and modeling tinting / noise can be used to play high resolution files on a hardware lower resolution, allowing future-proof investment in high-resolution files. Digital correction for room equalization and other purposes, convolution algorithms include selectable. Convolution engine supports FIR impulse responses of RIFF (WAV) format, which can occur with appropriate software, such as Acourate, Room EQ Wizard or DRC.
Audio adapter network
audio network is especially useful for releasing cables when the player is running in a tablet or other wireless device. Processing is performed by applying the player and the processed data are transmitted asynchronously over the network to an audio adapter very light network that connects to the DAC. The asynchronous FIFO provides maximum isolation between processing and audio playback.
